Fresh from the Golden Globes and a world premiere, Cillian Murphy and Paul Mescal traded red-carpet glamour for effortless style at a special Hamnet screening in London.

Cillian Murphy and Paul Mescal Keep It Effortlessly Cool at Hamnet Screening

Cillian Murphy and Paul Mescal brought understated style to London on Tuesday night, stepping out for a special screening of Hamnet—Chloé Zhao’s film adaptation of Maggie O’Farrell’s bestselling novel.

The Irish stars took to the stage following the screening, fresh from a whirlwind few days on the global awards circuit. Hamnet stars Mescal alongside Jessie Buckley, who claimed the Golden Globe for Best Actress on Sunday, with Mescal present to celebrate the win. Murphy, meanwhile, had just walked the red carpet at the world premiere of 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, a sequel to his breakout film 28 Days Later.

After days of formalwear and flashing cameras, both actors opted for a relaxed approach to dressing—proving that casual can still be cool.

Murphy leaned into minimalist polish with an all-black ensemble, pairing a bomber-style jacket with black trousers and a simple t-shirt, finished with classic black boots. The look was sleek, timeless, and quietly confident.

Mescal delivered his signature laid-back charm in a Levi’s denim jacket layered over a vintage David Bowie “Sound and Vision” t-shirt—a subtle nod to the 10-year anniversary of the music legend’s passing—paired with high-waisted trousers. The result was effortlessly stylish, cementing his status as the internet’s favourite leading man.

From red carpets to intimate screenings, Murphy and Mescal continue to show that great style doesn’t have to shout—it just has to feel authentic.
